well... we left around 9:30 on the Blue Horizon out of Islandia Sportfishing. the water was beyond rough! 8-12 feet!!! haha there were guys puking EVERYWHERE!!! but not me! not this time!
we let the trolling lines out around 5:30(sunrise). Immediately, "HOOK UP!!!!" we stopped the boat. one of the hook ups was an albie and the other a skippy.
we got 2 more albies at that stop. one was my buddies 26 pounder.
we trolled around for a little bit through that sloppy ocean! the swell rose to about a constant 10 and 11 footers. hook up! skippy
we continued this same process and throught the rest of the day, we only got 3 more albies. so the final count was 6 albies and like 9 or 10 skippies. most of the fish were on the troll. guess what... I wasn't trolling! i got SKUNKED!!! oh well... thats tuna fishin'!

Believe me, I've had my share of days like that! Albie's are slowing down with the warm water and all. I think i'll wait a month or so when the yellowfin come in...
