First off, let me just say...........GO BRUINS!!!!!

Great to see another BRUIN faithful here on the board. And just for that, you get some of my most reveared(Did I spell that right?) advice on the Bishop/Mammoth areas. Well, I think so anyways. My favorite spots are the ones above Bishop like South, Sabrina, Intake II and the streams, especially. I like to troll the lakes with a Firetiger Needlefish on a weighted line. By weighted line I mean using a 1/4 oz egg sinker, as if I were using an extra big bait set up. I use about a 4 or 5 ft leader from swivel to lure. I coat this with any salmonoid type attractant and usually have a shot at some of the bigger brutes along with alot of just over pansized types. I also like drifting Crawlers or throwing the bubble & fly around any of the high spots, especially the rock pile in the middle of Sabrina. Intake II is pretty productive when fishing the bubble & fly, a blue fox or panther martin and the basic floating crawler. As for the Loop, I use the same methods as the other lakes but I'll also give the medium sized Rapalas in rainbow or firetiger patterns a try and the broken backed styles, as well. I really like the broken backed styles, they seem to entice the fish a little more, for me anyway. And yes, I like adding the extra weight from an egg sinker to get it down into the depths where Big Bertha and her sister, Gertrude, lurk. If you get a chance to venture a little, give Bridgeport a go. I've caught a few good ones in that lake while both trolling and dipping the floating baits. I don't know what condition the lake is in but it usually produces pretty nicely for me. I hope this helps and even though I know these methods aren't exactly a secret for sierra fishermen, they have really produced well for me in the past. Good luck and if for nothing else, remember one thing:

SC SUCKS!! ALWAYS HAS, ALWAYS WILL!!

GO BRUINS....GO RAMS....GO FISHING....!!!!
FLOWING THROUGH MY VEINS!!!!
