3x plastic cant be painted. At least as far as I know there is no known paint. You also cant glue to it, so eyes would not stick. The glue might last for a day but then it falls off. You also cant color it with anything but powdered pigments. And it is a pain to work with. I have had some of my bluegill get torn up prety quick. The fastest was 4 fish. I have also had them last up to I think 21 fish with some minor repairs along the way. I have actualy noticed that the smaller fish do more damage because the bigger ones usualy have the whole bait in there mouth. For the most part I am hearing good reports as far as durability goes but there are always going to some that get hit just right (or wrong) and get torn. My bass is a little smaller so it should last, as long as the fish are comitted. If they are just tail biters than any soft plastic swimbaits can get wrecked quickly. I am also going to have the bass Priced less because it takes less time for me to make. My advise to make any soft swimbait last loger is to gear up and crank them in. If you fight them then they too much time to do damage. I have also had a Hudd come back tailess and I consider them a very durable bait. I was bummed but I know thats just how it goes sometimes.
