Decided to go out and do some pond fishing yesterday. My friend and I brought our bass gear out and hit up a couple of ponds in Ontario located behind a business park off of Haven Ave. and Center Dr., just one block south of the ten freeway. I have never heard of anyone fising this pond before and let me tell you , the bite was off the hook. We were throwing anything you can imagine and the bass were averaging between one to five pounds. My friend and I caught and released a total of 40 bass. I spoke to the people eating lunch near the business buildings and they said that they do allow fishing, but nobody does. The biggest fish I caught was on a 7" osprey. The female fought me for a while and when she came out, she topped the scale at 12 pounds. My friend's biggest tipped at nine pounds.
It is incredible because the water here is so off color and it looks stoned, but the fishing is immaculate. I suggest green wienie roboworms dropshot. They were blowing up on some rip-baits too.
Hope you guys get a chance to fish this pond. It is well worth the time.

Saw your post about this pond. I was surprised!
I work at a Toyota facility about 5 minutes from Centre Lake and past this pond often going to lunch. I've never seen anyone fishing it.
Thanks for this info. I think I'm gonna take a few longer lunch breaks and check it out.

It is a few miles souht-west of the I15 and I10 junction in the city of Ontario. From I10 west bound exit Haven head south to Center Dr. (see original post). Good luck.

I was in Rialto on Saturday for my daughters softball tourney, and had a 2 hour break netween games. Drove down to that "Centre" business park off Haven and I-10 to check out those ponds. Looked at that green-blue water in one pond, and said yeah right 12 and 9lbers my a_ _! Walked across to the other pool that was pretty much halfed emptied out but the water color looked muddy. Tossed some chartuese power grubs, and other plastics with nothing chasing.

I fished there yesterday with my son. All I caught was a chartruese jig. I think that post was full of crap.

Thats weak, that guy should seriously be cut from the team. With the gas prices the way they are im sure someone drove a ways up there to check it out only to get burnt. What a punk. Good fishing to everyone.

Is anyone positively sure we can fish Centre Lake for free, meaning it's not illegal to fish it?!
