I fish a lot of their Platinum, but was wondering if anyone here has tried the new Super XXX on spinning reels. I would be fishing 4, 6, 8, 10#. Thanks for info.

I use the four and two and have some eight on the way. This stuff is strong, I can't break the two pound without cutting my fingers. The guy at turners told me he was drop shoting for bass with the two. I have caught some trout on the two and will be fishing for bass with the four and eight in spring when I want to finesse fish a little more. I like it and its pretty cheap so give it a try.

Thanks for the information. One might wonder if Super XXX is one of those lines whose lbs. test is understated by the manufacturer in order to beat the competition in tests of breaking point (for example, labeling a 4lb test line a "2 lb. test" line to appear to be stronger than other 2 lb test lines)? I have always had good experiences with other Izorline products, so I would not expect deception on their part.
How do the Super XXX diameters compare with the competition in the same lb. test categories, and have you tried them on conventional reels.

I bought a spool of 6# and it is thinner than their Platinum. It is limper too. Spooled up nicely on a spinner and fished pretty well too. It's nowhere limp like Trilene XL but it is way tougher than that stuff. I'm satisified so far.
