We fished Lake Pyramid this morning for total 23 Stripers ( for 3 persons ) range between 1.5 to 2.5 lbs. Bait is worm & anchovie . We will go again tomorrow. Stripers for dinner tonight ....Yummy ;-) .

Did you fish the channel or from a boat? Can you give us an overall opinion on how the lake looked and its future for public use? I'm glad it's opened again I went to Castaic the day before for stripers (nada) but I prefer Pyramid

Marcsee.
We fished from shore in the channel. The water a little stain in the channel & fast , algae (sp) everywhere , the fished are fat & healthy.

will the lake be staying open after the weekend? Sure would be nice to fish it when I get the chance in a couple of weeks.

Yeah! It should remain open now. Until futher notice. 23 fish wow! Sounds like fun. I hope to go soon. Once I stop procrastinating!:7 I am going rockfishing tomarrow Sat. 7-3-04. I will post in Saltwater section.

I talked to some of the USFS and they said they'll be open from now on except on Tuesday they'll be close for training.

BTW: great trip you had. that's a lot of baby stripers - that size makes excellent sashimi. wonder what they've been feeding on?

I also fish Pyramid Thursday what a blast hammer them on topwater.
first fish was a 4lb smallie.. striper were mix with largemouth and smallmouth..I saw alot bassboat blow right my me...just to fish the side were the sun hit first...wrong!!!...shade & topwater.. be the ticket...great weed-line all around the lake awsome for you guy who know how fish the break!!!both side... fish until sun up to sun down...fish count..
