Fished this Sunday at Castaic and found the fish chasing shad in the coves. Fish were boiling but wouldn't take our topwater baits. Later switched over to cranks and my partner caught 4 small fish and I lost a decent one on a rattle trap. Later fished in the Ski Arm and caught 3 nice fish on worms in 30 feet of water. Fish were sitting on the out side of the outer weed line and the bite was light.

I was at the lake Friday 12 Oct. There were two guys using shad for bait and hooking up every 5-10 min. with fish rangeing from 1- 6 lb. Iwas there from ;1:30 till 3:00 pm. Saw them on Monday they said they took home 6 of the largest bass. on Tuesdy 16 I saw them get 11 stripers weight from 15-19 lb. They fished from 7:30 till the time I said goodby 11:00 all the fishing was from the shore.
