Fished Puddingstone from 5:30-6:45 tonight for even more slow fishing, at least I caught something anyway. I threw a jig, slammer, and the buzzbait of course for most of the night but about 15 minutes before I left, I tried a black/blue senko and threw that along the line of bouys at the swimbeach. First cast I got bit on the drop and swung hard, it turned out to be one at exactly 1.0#. My first bass this year, oh yeah! I threw that for the rest of the night but nothing else. I heard a boil out there that sounded like a big fish but I couldn't see it so I don't know how big it was. I guess its for the better that I didn't get the big one tonight, I forgot my camera! Tommy

I fished Puddingstone on Saturday and didn't have any luck what-so-ever. The water was still on the cool side and very, very merky. . I did a lot of cranking, thew the jig, senko and spinnerbaits all day long and didn't get any action at all. Water was uncharacteristic for Puddingstone from what I've heard - everyone I talked to kept saying the same thing about the water AND the fishing. Saw one boat who was having success. They were drop shotting... Should of tried that - but I saw them at the end of my trip.

Yeah the fishing has been terrible lately. I have been getting short 1-3 hour sessions there but this is the first bass I have caught this year. I fished there from my kayak last week and I tried dropshotting out deep but the water was too murky. I didn't even meter any fish within casting range of the shore either. I'm going back out tonight, I'm just going to throw the jig and pray. Tommy
