I was planning a trip to the FH Show on Saturday, but read John's post on Friday...
A buddy and I launched our tandem kayak from the kid's beach at around 2:00 PM. There wasn't too much of a tide swing today, so we headed straight for the boilers and the surf line. I managed a 21" flattie on a 3" AA curlytail at the boilers. The drift was pretty hectic, and we were swept to the mouth of the creek before we knew it. On the way, we caught 3 decent sized sand bass. That was it. The paddle back was nasty, cold, and windy, but it was still a beautiful day to be on the water.
