#11451, "New Ride"

Couldn't take the La Jolla reports any longer, finally broke down and went for it. Malibu Pro-Explorer, front hatch, center hatch, cart, 2 piece paddle, high back seat, paddle leash, flush mounted rod holders. Got the basics to get me on the water, I'll be adding over the summer. First trip tomorrow morning to the bay, to harrass some spatted bay bass.

Does this mean I can't harass you about getting a yak anymore?

Yeah; bigger and faster is almost always better. But, I can understand the storage issue, that's why I started out with my old Navigator. But the Tourer taught me how nice a long stable yak is.
The new Cabo is a beast on shore, but on the water it's a sweet ride. From what I've heard it will be good for launching in the surf, but a squirrely ride in. Speaking of, I'll be in Vegas for work until Sat. night, so I can't fish until the week after.
How was the maiden voyage? Get any decent spotties?
