I'm looking for a new/used 1 piece 8ft rod medium action at least 25#-30# rating. I live in Los Angeles County and will pick it up. If anyone out there has one for sale, email me at MEDELYN1@msn.com

What's the application? What type of rod? What kind of materials? What kind of reel is going on it?

I have a 8' Allstar rated 12-30# (straight graphite, cork and trigger grip), and a Seeker Classic rated 15-40# ( E-glass jigstick). Both might be available after Easter.

I'm the guy with the Daiwa Sealine 40hv. I want to us the setup for casting jigs and bait. I'll most likely fill the reel with 30# test and fish for cudas, yellows, & tuna. Since I'm not to familiar with rods just yet, maybe you could suggest a decent rod. You say you have an 8' Allstar & Seeker that might be available. Which rod do you think would work for me? I would prefer a medium/heavy action rod.

Might have another Seeker (the one I mention in the other post) for sale too, but I don't know for sure. Also check out Yo's Custom Rods. I don't know where they're at, but they are one of the best, and are up near you I think. Watch the main board, if I sell the Black Steel I'll post a message for you.

Amish Ed

p.s. thanks for explaining your MPD.

I just bought a Allstar rod wrapped by Martin at Yo's Custom Rods.I fished it last week and it's great.I can throw bait , plastics or light jigs with no problem. The rod is 8ft rated 15-25 but it will go 30lb no problem. Martin wrapped 3 or 4 of these for the Fred hall show. I think he has one left in the store. The kicker is that these rods were just a little under a 100 bucks. Not bad for a Yo's custom with 11 guides and fuji reel seat.If you know anything about Yo's rods you that they hold up like no other .

Jace,
It's rated 15-25lb. I'd say the rod is med heavy. Great stick though. Buy one
