Bryan Davis came down from SB and brought his tube and I was able to join him for some calico chasing. We launched at 6:30 and fortunately there was fog and a nice overcast to help the bite. We mostly used 4-inch Big Hammers in fongfish and red calicohunter for several legal calicos and sandies as well as a fat cabezon. We had 6 or so bass and the cabbie between us when I left at 8:30. Bryan stayed longer and I saw him on another fish as I hauled out. I'm sure he connected with a few more after that. All were released.

What a fun morning. Thanks again David, I'm glad that we could finally get together to fish. After you left I stuck 2 more fish including 1 that was a little better then our average. I ended up with 6 Cali's for the day which was cool. Let me know when you want to come up to SB.

Bryan

Hey David, sounds like a fun way to start the day. Were you guys at the place where you got flipped in your tube. I'll be hitting that place soon with Tom. Seafari has to do better at the next SWBA event.

I've actually been contemplating getting a new tube, just for fishing Laguna. So much easier to get down to the water. Then again, there's nothing like getting flipped in yak in shorebreak.

You can't catch it again if it's dead!
