#5542, "Ready to fish..but where?"

I haven't fished since last summer. I just got my license and am ready to hit the surf. Has anybody got any hot tips on where to go?
South Bay? Seal Beach? I'm craving some fried perch so any advice would be appreciated.

It's hot right now for the surf scene so just about anywhere is going to happen for you. Newport, as you have probably been reading about in some posts, is pretty good right now as is Seal, Sunset and Bolsa Chica beaches. Alot of Perch and some Corbina are falling to 1 1/2 and 3 in grubs in Motor oil w/ red or gold flake. Use the Pro Cure Calico Cocktail to better your cast to fish ratio. You can also try using Bloodworms if you like the bait thing. They're working pretty descent, too. I also heard that some of the beaches in Santa Monica Bay are off the hook as well. Good luck and post your report so we know how you did.

Hey Bruin, thanks for the info. Looking forward to hitting it. This might sound like a dumb question to everyone but, whats pro cure?
