There are ton of different ways to rig stinger hooks on Hudds. I just keep it simple with a split ring on the bottom and a 1/0 or 2/0 Gammie treble. It's just a confidence thing but I like to keep the bait looking at natural as possible. If the lake has alot of brush I wont run one at all.

It was the one where he cut the top hook off and ran braid down the back of the lure to his singer hook. I will leave the main hook on but want to see how he tide the stinger on with braid. I'm sure I caughed do a wire leader or several others. Not having a ton of experance with braid I would like to use his nots. I may end up later on using his meathed but for now this is want I looking to go with.

I'm not sure if it was on this site. I know I saw it on NCBF though. Fish Chris was the one that posted it.

You can just use a split ring on the head also. The bass take the bait in by the head most of the time anyway. The bait turns and hooks in the mouth when you set the hook. This is how you are able to hook the fish in the Crushers deep in the mouth with the Jig hook at times. If the hook is to far back you will miss a lot of head hits. I believe that many times when I set the hook with the jig hook and I feel the fish there for just a sec it was a head hit and I hooked it out side the mouth for a moment. This Rig is GREAT for bed fish. They will hit the head almost all the time.

I tried that on some old Castaics and it not only gets better hook ups, the baits last longer. And since Castaics are VERY soft, that helps!

I wanted to print the article to take home , and the only way it would print without chopping off the whole right half was to open your isp e-mail page,Yahoo-etc, click "compose". 2. then go back to Fish Chris's article === right click your mouse, "Select All" , then 3. goback to your e-mail and "Paste" the article in your "letter body" ,4.e-mail it to yourself, open the e-mail, and the select "pritable view" -and print it. there may be a different/better way, but it is fast once you do it several times. Just thought it might help someone... Be Well, Alex
