I am looking for a used transom mount trolling motor for my Valco. It is going to be used as a bow mount with a special small-boat mount. Therfore the shaft length I'm looking for HAS to be at least 36 inches, 42 would be mch better. The thrust amount does not matter, as is a light boat & is easily propelled.

Here's an update on my current trolling motor condition; after a couple hours on the water today, my dad & I pulled about 10 pounds o' weeds off it today. The motor, a 1985 model or thereabouts, sucks so bad that even in the slightest weeds it tangles & fails to work. Already underpowered because the motor is only 17 pounds thrust, the boat wandered around with the slighest whim of the wind. Even after numerous cleanings the prop failed to be "weedless" as the motor cover claims. So please I'm in need of a new motor. Just note that as long as the motor meets the above post's requirements, I'm happy as long as its in running condition. However, please nothing over 10 years old :+

You should just buy a new one. I always check the used sales on all the bass boards and have not seen any matching your spec's.

Good Luck

Hey let that Bass go I wanna catch her some day
