1st: I thank you for doing this for all of us.
2nd: I don't live down there so I wouldn't be a good alternate for you but how can I contact the guy for the Monterey Bay area? I'd like to offer to be his/her alternate. As you may/may not know I float tube New Brighton beach and the Monterey kelp beds on an irregular basis. I have heard that both of these areas may see some restrictions soon. I want to have some say as to what happens in my backyard!
