#76, "RE: Help - Doing something new." In response to In response to 3
Thanks for your responses. I primarily stuck to Panther Martins and Thomas Buoyants and did pretty well. Near Yosemite I fished the Merced and got quite a few Rainbows mostly on the T.B. Near Tahoe I went East into Alpine County. I fished the Carson River the first day and got 13 Rainbows and Cut-bows. I started using the T.B. but switched to a Rebel Wee-Crawfish because I read about Brown Trout being more carnivorous than others. Anyway it was awesome on the Rainbows and Cut-bows (that lure catches everything - even halibut!). I also fished a few small lakes in that area for some Rainbows - mostly on the Thomas Buoyant.
Next time it's going to be hiking and backpacking into the desolation wilderness.
