Met Cameron Smith at Otay on Saturday morning. Started out with the topwater and Cameron got one little one. Worked back into some cove (too lazy to research names right now, just got home give me a freakin break) and I started throwin the slammer. Threw it over this underwater rocky ledge type deal and didn't get nothin the first throw but I threw it over again and this fish just completely explodes on it. Totally annhialated the plug. Turned out to be about a 3lber. Scared the bajesus out of both of us though. I had a fish swirl on my topwater but miss it. Went back to some boiling fish and frog water where Cameron had a boiler swirl on his bait, then I tossed in there with the slammer and he missed that one too. Worked our way around the cove and Cameron had a blow up on the frog. I hooked and lost one on the slammer that bit it twice. Went back into this good lookin frog cove with a bunch of duckweed and floating junk. I hooked and lost another one on the frog and Cameron did the same. I also had one blow up and miss back there, and I think Cam probably did too. Toward the end of the day I got a dink on a ripbait and Cameron got a couple small fish on the ripbait too. That's about all I can recall. Should've taken some pics, but the way the day started we figured we'd be having plenty of photo ops. Oh well. Awesome lake, lots of tullies and trees and frog water. Good stuff.
