#9261, "Lake Fulmor and Hemet 4-13-03"

I started the day off by going to Lake Hemet. I arrived at the lake around noon, and there was a few sprinkles here and there. I drove down to the far end of the free side, and walked along the shore line, tossing a spinner bait and some drop shot worms for the bass. I saw one bed, that had no fish on it what so ever. As I talked to the the few anglers who were there, they all had the same remarks. The fishing was horrible. Here is a picture of how low the water level was.

I left Lake Hemet around 1, and left to go to Lake Fulmor. When I got to Fulmor, there was a light sprinkle as well, but no hard rain. I went right to the spot I fished with Ken, two weeks ago, and got a few fish on jigs. As more people came, I had tossed out a bait pole, to have some more room. Unfortunately for me, I had some guys who came right next to where I was fishing at. I let them know where my bait was, but they didn't care. They tossed out over me three times, so I left the spot, and went towards the other side.

On the other side I met up with Ken, and we went down by the docks. We both knocked them dead down there on some flies. As it got later we finished the day down by the road, and we killed them there as well. If I was fishing here all day, I could have easily released over 50 fish.

All in all it was a fun day, and I got to take quite a few pictures. Ken and I released both over 25 fish a piece while we where at Fulmor. Here are two pictures of Fulmor. One is a small DFG stocker, and the other is some fish boiling on the surface very close out.
