Took the boat out of Huntington Harbor early yesterday morning with my friend's son Joe (DH_tubinjoe) for some local bass fishing. Headed down the line past the pier and threw plastics on some structure.
It started out slow but picked up as we headed into a little deeper water. Caught 15 or so bass in a couple hours, about 80/20 on the calicos/twisters.
Joe did catch a nice sand bass (pic below) and I caught a real nice calico that flipped off the swimbait before we could get the camera out.
Decided to go look at a couple rocks on the Horseshoe but I started having some wierd engine trouble so I headed for the barn at around 11:30. Nice day on the water. It was grease out there.
