I went back to Laguna this AM but to north laguna area. I got short bit on the grubs like 30 times, lol. I then got a few fish and had short bites again so I cut off the grub tail, cut off a bit of the front also to shorten it. Threaded it on instead of nose hooking--all didn't help, they just weren't aggro fish. They were a tad smaller than yesterday's fish. These were only 5-7 inchers. I tried some of the plentiful sand crabs too and got short bit a lot. I had to let them really chew the crabs before setting. I got 6 or 7 on sand crabs and 4 or 5 on the grub. Had to leave at 8 am and they were still biting. Saw a few corbina cruising shallow. I got to try out my new Action Optics photochromic copper lens sunglasses--really nice for seeing fish with overcast.
