Don’t get me wrong, the little spinner and the natural bait was fun, but I wanted to try to catch one on a homemade lure.

I knew this wasn’t gonna be easy and I was right, it wasn’t. It was VEEEEERRY difficult. The fish were scarce and the waves were choked with plant matter. I kept at it for hours and hours. I was using a 4lb mono leader. I got a about 1000 bites, but I only caught one fish with my little plastic sandcrab.
