The perch were taken on a #4 3047 wrapped with hot pink thread and small barbell eyes tied clouser style. Then I put some orange marabou on top off the hook and cover it with red marabou. Now I tie in 5 strands of Flashabou on each side and from the underside eyelet to the hook bend, then I cover that with red marabou. I finish it off with a wrap or two of orange cactus chenille behind the eyes, then finish off the nose with thread. The marabou doesn't hang out the back but 1/4 inch.
All fish were caught on a 5/6 wt and each time I thought I had a corbina. LOL Those two were ths biggest I've ever gotten and I seriously thought of taking one and mounting it. I did take a picture of the first one next to my rod so I just have to finish the roll.
