Launched @ dawn and immediatly started trying to catch bait. After jigging a Sabiki rig I had about 20 lizard fish and 0 smelt/sardines! I also caught a 21 3/4" halibut as well as 2 dink sandbass on the 5" Keylime Big Hammer on the bottom of the bait rig. I caught nothing else around there (I think the lizardfish that I was flylining on the other rod was scaring everything away!) so I went out deep. On a blind cast in about 30 ft. of water I caught one 18" WSB on a 5" Blue Prizm 'Chovy Big Hammer, as I was fighting him my halibut rig with a lizardfish goes off but I couldn't get to the rod in time. :( There were some nice rake marks on that lizardfish too. I caught one more sandy there on the same swimbait that caught the seabass and then paddled over to Big Rock. Once at Big Rock, it was very slow until I had an estimated 18" halibut chase my lure all the way to the yak before jumping completly out of the water in pursuit of my swimbait after I lifted it out of the water. Since he just followed my swimbait I gave the Fastrac a try and caught a calico in the 2# range but as I was getting him to the kayak, he actually shook the treble hook out of the ring and got off? Luckily it was the front ring so I continued fishing with that lure for one more calico and a yellowfin croaker. I ended the day at Topanga Point throwing a 4" Halloween Big Hammer just trying to add a couple more calicos to the fish count when I got hammered and after a very uneventful fight I landed a 24.5" flatty. I drifted in front of the launch and had another good hit and this one took a couple of runs. When I got him to the yak he took 4 more runs before I got a hold of my swimbait and got him in to the yak to measure him. This one was only 21" but he fought harder than any other halibut I have ever hooked. Paddled in after that for a dry landing. Nice day out on the water, it was Sunny and glassy the majority of the day (6-11AM)

3 halibut (2 at 21" and one at 24.5)
2 calicos to 2#
3 sandies (nothing over 6" LOL)
1 18" WSB
1 yellowfin croaker
Nothing even lifted out of the water except the halibut which were breifly measured before released.
