I haven't been brave enough to take my Buck's Bag Bronco pontoon boat out onto the real ocean yet. I've had it in Newport Bay and at Cabrillo Beach (San Pedro) and had a blast both times. Each of these places I got to launch in perfectly calm water with no waves since both places are sheltered harbors. I'm not sure I ever want to try a launch thru the surf no matter how small the waves are. That being said, how's the launch at Haskell's beach? I'm not familar with that beach. In fact, I don't even know how to get to it. I'm assuming it's in the Santa Barbara area. Care to share some driving/parking/launching direcions?
