I went out this morning at Goleta Beach too, but over by the rock cave thang. I got two short halibut, 18 and 21 inches, and had another one surprize me by literally launching himself out of the water after my fastrac, not 3 feet from my face! A reminder that halibut aren't bottom feeders...they can be on the surface and aggressive.

Count me in on the tourneyment. I'll bring some drinks for lunch.
