Just returned from our third annual 2.5 day charter on the Sea Adventure out of H&M Landing. We run this trip in July each summer. This year the Albacore bit late afternoon. The fishing on the first day was pretty good. Albies bit the bait on each stop. The albacore averaged 15-20 pounds, with several up to 30. Several stops late. We ended up with 70 fish.
day two found a few Yellows biting until late afternoon. The schools of Albies were bigger and very active. Terry was locating big schools and brailing bait on them. They bit WFO. Many times everyone was bit. The crew worked very hard and lost fish were at a minimum. The fish were bigger, average was 20-25. There were several 30-35 pounders and the JP was about 40. Very fun fishing. We finished day two with limits.
Eddie cooked a nice Ham dinner with all the trimmings and everyone went to bed happy.
The reason we book a 2.5 day trip is to get the late bite in the Albacore area for two nights. It costs a little more but all three yaers the extra night bite has been very good. This year the second night bite was epic.
We usually have 4 or 5 spots each year that are filled with new comers to the Sea Adventure. If you would like to be contacted when the next trip is being scheduled drop me an e-mail and I will keep in touch.
