I speared a decent halibut that had a 4" fishtrap sardine colored plastic and little white leadhead sticking out of the corner of its mouth yesterday. He went 26.5 inches (and was extra tasty).

Looks like he busted off at the knot. Anybody lose a plastic to a decent fish in the goleta beach area recently? The hook had not even started to rust.
