Surffished tonight from 7 to 8:30 pm. Absolute perfect conditions...best of the summer with NO KELP! Sandcrabs easy to find. Immediately got slammed by the right kind...ended up being a nice 21 inch Corbina with a perfect corner hookset. Released it and watched it scoot into the surf. Then I got another nice hookup...this one was a 16 inch Corbina that deeply inhaled the bait. I tried to unhook it and unfortunately it was bleeding badly (didn't feel like cleaning it), so I ran 100 yards down the beach and gave it to a couple of long rod asian fisherman (they had a few corbina in the bucket already). Then a couple of little kids hung out with me for the next hour (Anton-age 5 and Blake-age 7), and asked me all kinds of fishing questions along with playing with the sandcrabs in my bucket. Only caught 1 more barred perch that they were pretty stoked with. Corbina fishing is really picking up...glad I made it down there!
