On Saturday I took some new fishing friends aka Team Hillbilly (Tyson from North Carolina and Kevin from Massachusetts) to do some bottom fishing for Rockfish out of Santa Barbara. This was the first time they had fishied off the California coast and they were very impressed with the variety and color of the species that we caught. The fishing wasn't as good as I'm use to for that area, but the guys had a fun time none the less.

On Sunday evening I went hooping with Steve "sbabcock_20" at some rockpiles off the Los Angeles county coastline. We got lucky and got a limit for two of nice quality Lobsters that wanted to have a steam bath.
Here is a pic of the yummy bugs in the cooler. I love it when you can't shut the lid on the cooler. http://www.yourfishpictures.com/data/517/85Dcp_2242.jpg
Here is Steve posing with the haul of the evening. The Lobsters were getting ready to hear their first and last drum solo before heading to the steam bath. <:o)> http://www.yourfishpictures.com/data/517/85Dcp_2243.jpg
