Im tired so this is going to be a quicky! Me and my brother Scott launched out of Santa Barbara this morning, on the grounds by 6:30ish , Scott had his limit by 7:30 both on bubblegum crocks, 1@ 12lbs @ 65pulls on the spectra/snubber rig (no flasher) and 1 @ 15lbs @ 100pulls, 7:45 I hook my first fish on a blue crock with a dodger only to have a large knothead piece of trash steal it ! :-( , my next hook up was at 11:30 on a blue crock no flasher 18lbs @ 100 pulls, then nothing till 1:00pm when I decided to go look at some birds out side the fleet, and before I could get to the birds I get a double hook up while Scotts sleeping in the bow, we were in 235ft of water at this point, I get my last fish in the boat a 17lbr on a blue crock @ 100 pulls, the other fish came unbuttoned at deep color, but that’s ok cause were limited out anyways, that fish was on a green crock @ 125pulls. The first three fish we hooked were by the last rig of the upper four , and the last three were outside the first rig of the upper four, we fished 185-235ft of water , but 200ft seemed to be the best, nice talking to everybody today ! …Larry
Real fish are measured in pounds - not inches!
