#6770, "7-4-02 Haskels"

Went back again on the fourth. Launched the tube about 6:00 A.M. and promptly took a wave on the head. A wet and cold wake up call. Worked my favorite kelp pattie for not even a bite. Worked farther out for a calico. Then cruised the pier for 1 calico, 1 sand bass and a 21 inch halibut. Halibut was 22 inches with the mouth open and 21 with it shut. Figured the DFG wouldn't like the mouth open measuring technique so it promptly went back, but I'm itching to land a real legal but. It would be my first from the tube. Everything was caught on the 4 inch clear with red flake big hammer with cocktail sauce. All in all it was a wet, cold but fun start to the fourth.
