Not to sound smart or anything, but to catch fish you have to fish where the fish are. Since Yellowtail are pelagic, the move around. Now is a good time to target them. Their are major quantities of them at Catalina and San Clemente Island, along with fish on the local paddys. You should talk with other private boaters and local tackle stores for more information.
