Skinny Bear is best known for it's jigs. This is their first foray in to the swimbait market. The bait is 5" long and weighs 1.75oz. It retails for around $8.50 and does not come with a hook.
My first impression was that they did some interesting stuff with the shape of the lure and the colors. The color lineup looks good both online, in person, and in the water.
I wasn't that impressed with the bait in person though. The tail came kinked in the package, the bait swam crooked (bad), and before I made a single cast, there was already discoloration around the mojo weight used to pro-rig the bait.
OK, it's an $8 bait, but quality control needs big improvement on this lure - and I'm very skeptical that it would last more than one or two fish with how soft the plastic is. This is a lure with potential that unfortunately was not executed well. If you got one that swam, it will catch fish, but I would inspect the packages before buying.
