#10098, "New Pics: Bettencourt Baits - RealFish Shad"

Here's some detail shots of the Bettencourt RealFish Shad. The Bettencourt Shad is 4.75" long and weighs 7/8oz.

I played around with this little guy last week and liked what I saw. The baits have a beautiful color pattern, very natural looking in the water. The action is brisk and the lure I tested swam perfect.

The fins look weird out of the water, but you have to give Bettencourt baits a lot of credit for making lures to look good in the water. The fins are hair, with a silicon like coating over the hair. It creates an interesting, pliable material that yields a fluid action. There is an air of panic with this lure when you see it in the water.

Retail is around $30. Granted, that's a lot of money, but these baits are 100% hand made in the USA, and when you see how they move in the water it becomes a lot easier to stomach the price tag.
