Im in Austin Texas....I was out yesterday in the middle of the afternoon and located a good number of 3 to 8+lb fish in some very clear, relatively shallow water (3 to 9 feet). I caught one fish blind casting Devil's tongue with a C Rig. The visible bass would not even look at a wacky worm, a senko, a shaky worm, a suspending jerkbait. I lobbed the Hudd well past them and brought it thru the area that they were staged.....it looked like the Pied Piper. There must have been 10 bass swimming behind this bait. I figured it was just a matter of time. I'd stop the bait and let it sink to the bottom (ROF5), they'd sit there an look at it. After a number of casts i had one load up, but missed him....I let them rest for a while and came back. I caught one that was 6lbs and only 21.5 inches long. It broke off the sevenstand wire stinger hook. I was using a red belly hook, that stuck the fish. I had one more bite, missed that one also. I'll be back out there this weekend. BTW, there are no trout in this water
