A while back I was reading all about the "black box" technology that salmon and trout fisherman have been using to draw fish to their baits while trolling. The theory is that a certain voltage on the downrigger cable is a positive attractant to the fish, perhaps through their lateral line. So tonight I'm searching the net for swimbait links, and I come across this story about a guy using an aquaview camera at Casitas. A big fish came up and ATE the camera while they were watching! Ryan T (ChabotPro) told me a very similar story about some of his buddies who were at Clear Lake and had the same exact thing happen with the camera, a big fish just came up and woofed it. Once maybe, but two times, I gotta wonder if there is something to this. I need to find a way to electrify my slammer!
