#782, "I need a crying forum"

I went to Casitas today.(sigh)(big sigh)
this was my first trip with my new Calcutta 820 rod and 400 te reel.
I fished all morning with a 12" MS Slammer, no followers and no takers. Then switched to a Castaic trout at about noon. I was trying to be persistant. At 1:30 in cloudy water she came out of murk and nailed the trout from the side, I set the hook and she was on. She hit about 15 feet from the boat. By the time I realized she was on she was on the other side of the boat, about 2 or 3 cranks and she along side. I reached for the line, before I grabbed it she shook and was gone. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! The large mouth was easily over 10 and I'm guessing 12 or bigger. It all happened so fast, was I sreaming, this just sucks. I fished until 6pm and that was the only thing all day. We need a big bass support group, I can't stop the shaking.
