tubed up silverwood for a few hours this morning. wuz bummed on not getting in the water until 7:30 but fishing was still decent. i got one spinner bait fish, one dart head fish, and two split shot fish. all of em were nice and healthy and between 1.5 and 3 pounds. i was with two buddies but they don't have too much in the way of bass skills and one of them got one on a spinner bait and the other one struck out. not the best day but i had a good time and got some sun on my face, better than school.

Definetly beats a day of school, or work! Are the weeds still pretty out of control in the lake? I want to try shore fishing at night maybe but it's pretty impossible with 10ft of weeds lining the shore.
But it also makes for some good rip bait action along the weedlines.
Thanks for the report and any info on the weed growth.

the weeds are pretty gnarly. the trick was to find lanes in the weeds and thats where the fish would be. we were up there a couple weeks ago and shore fishing was do able. but now i'm not so sure. give it a shot for sure though and give us a report.
