#12826, "Cabrillo harbor"

Out on Tue.at around 12 PM to throw the plastic some smelt patterns for a flatty, but was thrown off by the bait in the water because of the way they were behaving. All of the sudden, a school of 3-5lb. bonito wre boiling on them. Decided to switch to the good ol KROC in the green pattern and was hooked up on the first cast. From there it was WFO on them. I went through atleast 20 or more of them till my limits consisted of nothing but 5.0 lbers. Took less than 40 min. to accomplish this and no one around me followed the lead and decided to look more foolish than anything. Went back on wed. and Thur. for no results, so i guess that the "being at the right place at the right time" always applies. Does anyone on this message board fish this area on the regular? If so , just leave a post and lets make some plans to fish!!!!

I used to fish on the Cabrillo Pier... but haven't been there for I think about two years... Matter of fact, I don't do too much fishing nowadays period. I would love to get out more often, but been quite busy! Great area to fish though.
