Went to the harbor for a few hours on Friday night. Only fished for seabass, didn't try for the halibut. Saw Brandon Hayward coming in, he said no seabass but a dozen or so sandies. I dind't get touched on the seabass, it was totally dead and the seals were pillaging the bait receivers which probably didn't help things.
Went out to SB Hrbr on June 4 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. Metered a few fish around the bait receiver but they were light biters on my 3 inch grub. Wind was howling and the seal was cruzing the bait dock. Water near the shoreline was very clear. Fished the sand bar and deeper holes by the dredge but nada. To make a bad day worse, I left my tackle bag on my back bumper after loading up the kayak. Lost over $50 in plastics/tackle somewhere between the launch ramp and home.
