Fished out of Dana Point on Saturday aboard the Radical with Bob and his son Brian.
Bait: The Mello Bros. managed to have excellent 6-8 inch dines. The best bait I have seen out of there in years. Did another boat drop off a load???
Targeted Halibut in front of SC pier all day. The weather was perfect and we managed to scrap together a respectable stringer. 10 Flatties with 3 Keepers. All nice 28-35 inch fish. Trap rigs were an absolute necessity. All fished hooked on back treble.
We also had possible world record Lizard Fish! It went at least 20 inches and a very respectable 2 lbs.!

As of 1998 anyway, largest recorded California Lizardfish 25.17 inches and approximately 4lbs. Not quite a world record but a damn big lizardfish just the same.
