Fished from shore for an hour or two over the last couple days. The 20th was a tad slower maybe due to the storm passing when I got only one spotty but it was close to a 3# fish. Yesterday was better as got four legals to 3#. All caught on Assalt Ringers on 12# and my new Loomis MBR844--that is a sweet stick with guts to really yank on the spotties. All bass released.

Hey David whats going on! Dude I finally got out there to do some calico fishing. My buddy Eric Bent was cool enough to take me to some of his spots that he fishes. We had a blast, we lost count on how many fish we caught. Eric caught some really good quality fish in the 3 plus range, i caught a couple in the 2 plus range also. A bunch of smaller ones and some on blades, I even caught a nice cabazon that looked to be close to three pounds, i thought that was pretty cool. We both lost some bigger fish. I got rocked twice and was broken off on some Ande braid that i was using. Unreal how hard those fish fight. Im so used to freshwater bass that this was a real eye opener. Cant wait to do it again. Anyways i definitely wanna fish Newport Harbour w/ you man. Give me a buzz or shoot me an email and lets hook up and fish from shore. Good fishing and god bless
