Will the same thing as last year go on this year. No fishing from Jan to March. THat was a real bummer last year. Just wondering if I should take a final trip. I am talking about Morro Bay and Avila, btw. Thanks a lot.

Same closures as last year. Actually we were talking to Jason (not from the stardust, the cook on the seahawk, aka elvis) about it yesterday and he says they'll start slowing down the trips around december then pick up a little before christmas and after that pretty much shut down for maintenance. So if you're after the rockfish, go before december. Now that you've got the float tube, you can go out anyway! I remember last year during the rockfish closure the "heinous rig" was invented. Man, what an accomplishment...
