Just wanted to warn anyone that is going to try to fish in Long Beach Bays this weekend or today that the beach is closed... due to a huge sewage spill which dumped around 76,000 tons of you know what in the Bay.

You think it smells??

Tournament is cancelled for this weekend!

Sorry guys,

It was 72,000 something gal. not tons.

And we can't fish it until 72 hours.
Mother's Beach area will be OK and that is where our new tournament location will be on Sunday the 13th.

I am not sure what happened on this post...

Please do not be offended by this reply...Just trying to figure this...

The last post by "BrianS" was for a thread back in January...So to answer BrianS:

I am not sure the spill is of any consequence now...If you are posting to an old thread becuase you are concerned about the impact of a sewage leak two months later, I would not worry...They usually disipate and the bacteria levels usually get back to normal after several days...

If you are new at posting, you might want to double check the dates before replying as they might be old threads...Somtimes, the posting is sporadic enought that a thread on the same page or just couple of pages away can be quite awhile ago...

Not trying to slam anyone here...

BTW

That second part on my reply about checking dates only applies if the first concern was not the concern...
