#1069, "Preliminary Report- Cachuma Toad"

I just got a call from my buddy Martin, he and one of our other friends "Tiny" are out on Cachuma today. Martin called with the news that Tiny had just boated a 14-1 pound bed fish over off Jack Rabbit Flats. That is the largest fish I've heard coming from Cachuma in some time (perhaps some are caught and not reported) They weighed the fish and took pictures and then set her back where she came from. Tiny has been tearing up the big fish here recently. I know of five fish over nine pounds which he has caught in the past three weeks. Too bad he's not a member of Calfishing. The Big Bass Days of March would have a new leader.

That dude can catch fish big time ! I have fished with him before and he has what it takes. Plain and simple - he can catch numbers of fish and big fish unlike most people. When you fish with Tiny - you get good net practice. And the name, well there is a pun intended.

jeez, mix in 14 pound girls with angry smallies, nice combo. Am I the only one who wants to move to the Santa Barbara area? (umm, rincon, the big WSB, and tails at the islands don't hurt!)
