I am new to the swimbait gang...I am trying to get out of my box and try new methods..I own a few swimbaits...Rago 3-d trout..castaic trout..ospreys..I have trolled them on a downrigger before and caught my first swimbait fish..(a 2lb.) on the Rago...my questions are 1) is it better to troll them on straight mono?or leadcore? 2)how deep will they troll on plain mono?
3) how far back from the boat should they be? 4) what speed?straight speed or varied speed? 5) how deep should I be trolling? 6) any trolling patterns?any tips or suggestions would be appreciated...thanks one and all..
