I understand they are more of a waking bait, but I remember a post of setting them up with a big jighead to run them deep. Can't seem to find that post. Maybe someone can help what size of jig head would be best? I was considering the 7" .Would you also use a trailer hook on it? Thanks in advance.

There are better baits that are designed to do this. I would look into other options and stick with the Osprey as a more surface oriented bait as it was designed. Hope this helps some.
