How does everyone else rig the mad mad 5" craw. This is a bulky lure and I was wondering how everyone else did it.

I know its a tube bait but I prefer to put a weedless bass jig with no skirt instead of a tube jig. You have to cut off the end so you can tie to your line. Check out the pic.

I rig them the same way, except I do not cut the tail off. I just put the craw on the jig head as I would do with a brush hog or whatever. I have had decent results with these. I fish them along the rocks in the Delta with some success. What I have been throwing lately is a 1/2 oz Rodstrainer with the Storm Rattlin Craw Tubes (3.5"blk/blu) as a trailer. This jig has been hot for me lately. I stuck an 11.62 in Middle River about a week ago that filled a 24lb+ 5 fish limit. Not a bad day (From the bank no less). Actually the jig I caught the 11 on was one that Vince(theblankslate) had made using a rodstariner jighead I believe. He had given me one when We fished the Tracy BASS Am tourney a couple of weeks ago. (in which we took 1st) Just found out that he is expecting a $5.00 surcharge per pound on fish caught with the jig. OUCH!! lol Checks in the mail Vince!!!

Tight Lines,

Clay

Here fishy, fishy, fishy......
