hi, i'm new to the site but would like to post a request. my family owns a nice little 14 ft. Valco that works very well but needs a new trolling motor. I'm looking for;
1.) prefferably a used or slighty used transom mount(please,no older than 10 years in manufacturing date)
2.) At least 42 inches in shaft length( Mines a 30" w/ 17 lb. thrust but won't is 5 inches the waterline when placed on the bow with a small boats motor mount)
3.) 30 lb. thrust (the 17 lb. thrust i have now is ANCIENT 7 has a hard time completing a good turn.)
4.) MinnaKota or MotorGuide motors would be appreciated.
If anybody can help, it would be seriously thanked. our Valco is clean as a whistle(it was hardly used by the former owner) but seriously needs a new t-motor. if possible, prices under $150 would be nice.

I dont think you will find a 42" shaft! Infact I dont think they ever made a 42" shaft w/ 30lbs of thrust are you measuring the whole think? I know MinnaKota makes the Endura transom with a 42 inch shaft, so that's what type of used motor i was looking for. I'd buy a bow-mount but the front of our Valco is what they call a "high V-bow", so the front plate doesn't have enough room for a mount(it's a 20 year old aluminum, so some of the features are different) if you know anyone who wants to get rid of their Endura, I be happy to oblige.
